July 12th, 2009. NYCYPAA Meeting Minutes

Opened meeting at 4pm with Serenity Prayer

Web Hugh – Website fine, nothing has changed.

Corrections and Treatment – Jen. We now currently have one person going in every month.
CPC/PI Daniel – There is a NAACP is having something at the Hilton this week. Some volunteers are needed to man an AA booth Wednesday Afternoon.
Bid Facilities Jason – Advisory has taken over working on the contracts. We should have a hotel in another month or so.

Review of Upcoming NYCYPAA Commitments Queens Share a Day 9,10,3,4

New Business
Host Committee Standard Practices and By-Laws. Do we want to create this document. Laura wants to create a document to draft to ICYPAA host to help them create their bylaws.

There will be no scheduled breaks, nor will there be coffee or snacks served at the 8hour elections meeting.

PA system for elections is seemingly okay.

When NYCYPAA goes dormant, the website will read as such. The 12th step portion will remain and the rest will be linked to icypaahost.org. There was a lot of discussion on the practical functionality of the NYCYPAA Chair.

We as NYCYPAA committee feels that it would be better if we waited until the site was fully functioning in order to consider linking our site to theirs.
