NYCYPAA MEETING
August 17, 2008

I. Opening
-Opened with the Serenity Prayer.
-Reading of the Twelve Traditions.

II. Introductions / Roll Call
-Present: Josh, Andrew, Erin, Meg, Leslie, Ali
-Absent with notice: Josh has list
-Absent without notice: Barrett, Jared, Sam

III. Committee Chair Reports
a. Secretary (Courtney, filled in for Sabrina)
-Minutes from 8/3/08 reviewed and accepted.
b. Treasurer (Kathleen gave report to Josh to say at meeting)
- In Account: $2588.72
- Petty Cash: $120.43
- Kathleen deposited $458 in petty cash into the account
- $20.43 went into petty cash from 8/3/08 7th tradition

c. Co-Chair (vacant)
d. Events (Meg)
-Discussed field day briefly: Aug 31st, 10-3 p.m. LYCYPAA and CYSCYPAA (??) not confirmed
-Garden City, Garden State, and HVYPAA will be contacted
-Will need a lot of help greeting b/c lots of people got lost at Prospect Park kickball
-List of lawn games still needs to be discussed
-Will be events meeting after Young and Wise on Friday, the 22nd (will decide location after meeting)
-Josh has contact info for church on E. 2nd street that we visited during last events meeting (location for next dance), space available every Friday night until 2 a.m.
-Must pay $350 before and $350 after
-Meg knows someone who wants to DJ as a means to be of service
-Must test sound early enough before dance starts to make sure it’s in order
MOTION—dance on October 3rd from 9:30 to 1 a.m., budget of $1600, Josh will send e-mails out to all people not present at meeting to make sure this date is ok.
