NYCYPAA MEETING
August 3, 2008
4-6 PM

I. Opening
-Opened with the Serenity Prayer.
-Reading of the Twelve Traditions.

IV. Committee Chair Reports
a. Secretary (Sabrina)
-Minutes from 7/20/08 reviewed and accepted.
b. Treasurer (Kathleen)
- In Account: $2028.72
- Petty Cash: $637.82
- Paid Laura for copies
- $290 in T-Shirts
- Kathleen will deposit money tomorrow so we will only have $100 in petty cash
c. Co-Chair (VACANT)
d. Events (Meg)
-Hasn’t been doing much to reserve a space for the next dance.
-Thinking about another kickball/sports event, possibly with LICYPAA
-Possibly have an event before this meeting...
e. Outreach (Barrett)
-Nothing to report.
f. Bid Book (Laura)

-Got through half of the by-laws during the sub committee meetings, will do the next half before the next meeting.
h. Bid Facilities (Daniel)
-Still contacting hotels the past week, including new ones.
-He received a strategy guide from ICYPAA Advisory
i. Web (Cory)
- Nothing to report. Minutes not up to date, flyers are still up on website.
j. SENY Liaison (Dustina absent)
-NYS Convention: was a great time, young people were involved, 800 people we’re budgeted for, 1100 showed up. There were a lot of young people from the other areas, we made connections with them.... we can see how our work has benefitted others, SENY is on summer break until fall
k. Intergroup Liaison (Jason)
-Phones: still needs an apartment
-Still needs Riker’s Chairs

• MOTION: To Do Inventory on the 12th of October at 4:00 --> PASSED
• Josh will find someone to moderate it for us
b. Queens Share-Day, September 6th

c. Bayside Outreach Trip
• Meg offered her car
• The meeting is 8:30 on Thursdays

k. The Next Event
-Possible event for the 5th Sunday Fellowship
-Laura brought up the idea for a Field Day
-Kristy brought up the idea Scavenger Hunt
-Cory brought up the idea for Dodgeball
-Money we lost on kickball event: Around $50, we don’t know about the House Party
-We’re trying to make enough money to possibly have ICYPAA in the future
-MOTION: The next event will be labor day weekend
-AMMENDMENT: Suggested Donation $5 Budget OF $300
