MINUTES
NYCYPAA Meeting
Sunday, June 15th, 2008
4:00pm – 6:00pm

I. Opening
- Opened with the Serenity Prayer.
- Reading of the Twelve Traditions.

II. 11th Tradition Discussion
- Tabled until next meeting.

III. Introductions / Roll Call
- Present: Josh, Laura, Daniel, Kristina, Cory.
- Absent with notice: Barrett, Kathleen, Sabrina, Jason, Erin, Darren, Dustina, Meg, David.
- Absent without notice: Jared.

IV. Committee Chair Reports
a. Secretary (Sabrina)
- Minutes from 6/1/08 reviewed and accepted.
b. Treasurer (Kathleen)
- There is currently $3,398.09 in our bank account, and we have $225.83 cash-on-hand.
- Will work on the financial report for the ICYPAA Bid Book and give to Laura as soon as possible.
c. Co-Chair (VACANT)
d. Events (Meg)
- Pre-ICYPAA House Party: Saturday, June 28th @ Darren’s.
e. Outreach (Barrett)
- Nothing to report.
f. Bid Book (Laura)
- Bid Book is almost complete. Hotel contracts and the financial report need to be added.
- Motion to budget $500 toward Bid Book printing  Motion carries.
g. Bid Facilities (Daniel, Jared)
- Working on revising contracts, and will continue to work with the hotels until his term ends even if we are not awarded the Conference.
h. Web (Cory)
- Nothing to report.
i. SENY Liaison (Dustina)
- Nothing to report.
j. Intergroup Liaison (Jason)
- Sabrina turned over all Riker’s duties over to Jason.
- Phones was successful last night.
k. Prayer (David)
- Nothing to report.
l. Graphics (Erin)
- Flyer for our Pre-ICYPAA House Party needs to be updated.
m. Literature (Darren)
- Nothing to report.

V. 7th Tradition
- $6.00 collected.

VI. Announcements
- Vacant Co-Chair positions.
- NYSC Planning Meeting: 6/21 @ 3:30pm – Queens.
- 5th Sunday Fellowship: Bid Skit Rehearsal – Laura & Daniel’s @ 2:00pm.
- VSCYPAA: 6/20-6/22.
- BCCYPAA: 11/7-11/10 – would like a speaker from NYC.

VII. Old Business
a. ICYPAA.
- A recording of last year’s bid skit has been completed and will be submitted to the ICYPAA Advisory Council along with lyrics as per their request.
- T-shirts have been ordered and should arrive within 7-10 days.
- Erin is working on acquiring stickers from www.stickerjunkie.com.
- We should still look around for apple or pizza stickers in addition to the custom stickers we may order.
- Bid skit rehearsal took place last Sunday. We will rehearse the bid skit at 2:00pm next Sunday, and the following Sunday (location TBD.)
- A recording was made for us to sing and dance along with at ICYPAA.
- Costumes for the bid skit: black slacks, white button-down shirt, bow-tie (on loan by Josh), plastic top hats (under $20 purchase by Laura.)
- Logistics: Cookie will read our reason for bidding & a description of some of NYCYPAA’s activities over the last year (prepared by Daniel.) She will then introduce one of the videos we submitted to AAWS. After the video: “New York, New York.”
b. SENY YP History project.
- SENY YP History project is complete and was submitted to the SENY Archives Chair.
c. Update NYCYPAA Bylaws.
- Laura went through the Bylaws and came up with a list of 15 points to go over in a subcommittee meeting to be scheduled after we return from ICYPAA.
d. YP Video feedback project – TABLED.
e. YP Literature distribution project – TABLED.

VIII. New Business
a. July NYCYPAA Committee Meetings.
- Motion to cancel the July 6th meeting due to conflict with ICYPAA, hold an ICYPAA wrap-up meeting on July 13th, and resume with a regular NYCYPAA committee meeting on July 20th  Motion carries.

IX. Closing
- Serenity Prayer.
- The next NYCYPAA committee meeting will be an ICYPAA wrap-up meeting held on Sunday, July 13th @ 4:00pm.
