Darren got access to online banking
$2,566.94 in bank account
Paid- for a whole year of rent at VA hospital- ½ of -$155
-Paid $200 deposit on rental space for February event
-Money is being dispersed to service bodies
Discussion of what to send with contribution
-Do we send a letter or the NYCYPAA flier or mission statement?
$150.33 in envelope of cash
$17.50 in new rent fund for next year

D. Events (Meg)
- Events- Having a dance on February 15
Carmine and Bleeker-Our Lady of Pompei Church
8pm-1am
Potluck and dance/karaoke
Karaoke killed the cat confirmed
On flier-going to say to support local meetings
We get space from 6pm-midnight-$600
$100 for every entertainment hour after midnight-$700 for space rental
? Should we reduce time to 3 hours and let Karaoke Killed the Cat “do their thing”
We will probably have to pay $4-500 for Karaoke Killed the Cat
E. Outreach (Catya)
- Catya, Laura, Daniel, Darren, Josh and Meg went on outreach trip to the Whitestone group in Whitestone, Queens
-Catya asked for outreach ideas to “think outside the box,” not just outreaching NYCYPAA events but figuring out creative ways to outreach what we are

F. Bid package- No chair

G. Bid facilities- Had a meeting last week in December
Discussed hotel situation
Discussed Manhattan and Brooklyn hotels-what do we focus on?
Make bid facilities out to be ideal experience to people visiting New York?
Work the biggest, baddest ICYPAA NYC
Daniel is in contact with New York and Company

H. SENY Liaison- Dustina attending SENY committee meeting, assembly and going to chair Manhattan Share-A-Day meetings
Janusz resigns
Are we going to have an outreach table?

I. Intergroup- No chair but phones are going to be at Dana C’s in Astoria next Saturday

J. Graphics- Erin absent

K. Literature- Interested in reviving Rakhel’s idea of creating a collection of stories of young alcoholics in New York City

2. discussion of if it is possible to have divided karaoke and dance
i. Can we do both?
ii. Daniel gets feeling they are not willing to do both for the same amount
iii. Do we sell tickets in advance?
iv. Are the limitations from last motion too specific?
MOTION to reverse the two hour Karaoke and then Dance restriction

ICYPAA
What are other bid cities doing?
Daniel would like to use financial information from last ICYPAA in hotel negotiations
Rumor that advisory may be asking bidding cities to elect their BCRs earlier
Important to outreach that we are in need of a bid book chair
Janusz mentioned there isn’t secrecy in relations between advisory council members
“Coolest ICYPAA” last ICYPAA shows us idea of moving towards fantasy of ICYPAA-what we do-rework bid, new approach
Should we bid for this ICYPAA?
What happened with LACYPAA?
Discussion at bid facilities meeting-in LA bid book, what they sold was Hollywood-with airport hotels and then mid-level hotels (Bonaventure)
We have mid level hotel (Brooklyn) along with others

District 306- Asked us to show our video submission- 1/18 at 9pm
Darren would like us to always say yes when we’re asked, provided that, through our committee we can fill the commitment
Video- Screening as a committee
Video has been screened and commented on and re-worked based on suggestions
Also made an edit of other content
