NYCYPAA Meeting
December 17, 2006

Treasurer’s Report – Darren (absent with notice)
➢ $2,774.25 in Treasury
➢ Rent paid (really a donation that goes into the VA Hospital’s general fund)
➢ Still need a Bank Account
o Need a letter on our letterhead stating what we are
o PO Box is a MUST for this
➢ Outstanding receipts for Writing Workshop refreshments – Rakhel will supply ASAP
Events - Daniel
➢ Jan Hus had a problem with the number of people who attended our dance – capacity of the room and the congregating outside
➢ Looking at other spaces
➢ At this time we don’t have a plan for an event in Feb or March (future dates/events will be decided with sufficient time to Outreach in mind)
➢ Working with the Board of Ed, need to fill out forms with our information

➢ PS 3 easy to work with, no need to have non-profit status
➢ Checking into the using this space and keeping the dance as late as possible

➢ Darren, Daniel and Eric went to Maryland meeting and dance
➢ Crab balls are delicious ☺
➢ 30 ppl attended the dance, good by MD standards
➢ Spoke about NERASSA, making it like our NYSIW “Young People” panel, and if we could all show up and make it a real event – Feb 23 -25.

➢ Received a request from Nassau (Rockland?) county Intergroup, to see if they can link to us on the “Need Help” section of their website

➢ Will not be able to attend SENY meeting on Tuesday (12/19) but will be covered
INTERGROUP – Viviana
➢ Attended 4th Quarter Delegates meeting on Saturday (12/16) with Tiffany
o Intergroup will host New Year’s Eve Alkathon, need help and chairs
o PI - Manhattan’s PI Chair, Mike, is available to come on Jan 6th to tell us about PI work and how we can be do this service/orientation to all. He has our forms and will “flag” them as YP specific, if applicable
• Volunteers meeting is held 1st and 3rd Sundays at Intergroup
o Bronx county is hosting the Big Meeting – needs volunteers, all NYC counties must be represented on the committee
o Brooklyn county is hosting Bill W Dinner dance – need volunteers
o Encourage attendance at Forums, that’s how any issues are brought to Intergroup’s attention
o Important to update the Delegate contact information for 12th Step calls
GRAPHICS – Corey (absent with notice)

➢ Writing workshop was “awesome”
➢ Robin and Richard attended, provided very helpful information on what/how to submit to the Grapevine
➢ Editing the YP book is ongoing (behind schedule) so there is still time to submit comments
➢ Discussion on how to proceed – conflicting viewpoints on what is appropriate distribution of the 2 copies of the manuscript we have (Daniel and Darren)

o CC Rentals – renting a 15 psgr van would cost about $450
o Motion: Get a van to take some people up to NERASSA
o Friendly Amendment: Charge $10 pp to offset cost – NOT ACCEPTED

o Unclear how Robin (Grapevine editor) wanted to handle the distribution of the manuscript for more comments & feedback from NYCYPAA
