NYCYPAA Minutes
06/18/06: 4-6pm
I. Opened with the Serenity Prayer.
II. Introductions/Roll Call
-Attendance: Brook, Laura, Erik, Vivianna, Daniel, Teresa, Janusz, Darren, Rakhel, Daniel, Hodet, Catya, Jared, Brianna
-Absent with notice: Jason, Ashley, Cory

III. Reports
A) Secretary
-Minutes from 6/4 read and accepted.
B) Treasurer
-We currently have $927.56 in the treasury.
-$27 for rent
-Hasn’t taken out $75 for stickers (which are coming in 2-4 weeks)
-Darren did the letter for the bid book
C) Bylaws
-No report

D) Events
-All events are on hold until after ICYPAA
-? Of beach day with LICYPAA

-Looking for meetings, YP meeting list and people willing to go to business meetings

-We are going through the bidding requirements
-We have 6 out of 8 of the bidding requirements completed
-Teresa is our BCR
-We have a slideshow of NYAA pictures
-We have an accountant, we need financial records
-Hodet wants NYYPAA support at ICYPAA, as much as possible
-? Of should we have people each say one sentence of why ICYPAA should come to NY

L) Ad Hoc committee
a. No one will serve on it
b. Prudent for us to consider reasons for us having an ad-hoc committee
IV. Announcements

Vivianna volunteers for Intergroup Representative

V. 7th Tradition: $12
-New treasury total of $374.56 after expenses
VI. Outreach Break
-Janusz describes the importance of outreach
-Attending meetings far away twice, trying to work events to find ways to do events with people in other places.
VII. Old Business
A. P.O. Box and Bank Account
- Darren- Can’t have NYCYPAA Box in someone’s name
-We need documents for NYCYPAA
-We are starting the papers for the tax ID number
-Suggestion of Mailboxes etc (bid committee is doing it)
-Teresa will pass the information onto Darren
VIII. New Business
A. NYCYPAA reps are not working
-Suggestion that we go to business meetings and suggest against NYCYPAA representatives
-Reminded that now it is up to the groups, if they want to disable the NYCYPAA representatives, they can vote to do it
MOTION: NYCYPAA no longer promotes having groups be represented and we should strike from our documents any mention of NYCYPAA representatives

B. How are we serving the Young People in NYC
-People know we’re here
-Committee should have sheet in table of what we’ve done at ICYPAA
-Going to formalize list
C. T-Shirts
-We’re going to make t-shirts supported by people who buy t-shirts
-Janusz shows sample
-Cost Individually $15
Buy in quantity $7 each 72 shirts $504
-These shirts can be used again
MOTION: To allow Janusz t-shirt idea to be officially approved by the committee 2nd
-Are we obligated?

-Do we want to sell these at events?
-Committee will not participate in first round of t-shirts made
-We will revisit this later
-Deadline is tomorrow (Mon, June 19th) so $ is needed now
D. MOTION: To get rid of the YP meeting list

-Motion: $50 for fliers
-Include $ for banner

-Rakhel is uncomfortable endorsing some meetings over others
-There is a suggestion that the banner funds be separate
