NYCYPAA Minutes
3/4/06: 4-6pm
• Opened with the Serenity Prayer, reading of the 12 Traditions,
• Introductions/Roll Call
Megan makes opening remarks commemorating the accomplishments of NYCYPAA in the previous year.
-Formed NYCYPAA
-Started a website
-Wrote Bylaws
-Hosted the Scavenger Hunt
-Pumpkin-Picking Hay Ride
-Co-Hosted a Day at the Beach with LICYPAA
-Co-Hosted Service Event with District 601
-Participated in Young People's Hospitality Suite at the 2005 International AA Convention in Toronto.
-Take a meeting to the Juvenile wing on Riker's Island
-Answer phones every 2 nd Saturday night 10pm-2am for Intergroup
-Formed a bid committee for ICYPAA 49
-Participated in Queens Share-A-Day 2005
-Facilitated a screening of AA's videos for Young People at the request of Area 49.
-Corresponded with the General Service Office on the young people's General Service Conference Agenda Items.
-Visited young people's meetings in all 5 borroughs.

A. Dance
-Update: in order to have the dance at PS 3, we need to have tax exempt status. We can do it ourselves, but we need time. We can pay $400 to have it done. We don't have $400. EACYPAA host committee doesn't have tax exempt status either. Jan Hus church is available. Changing the location is what the EACYPAA host committee has asked us to do. Motion to move the dance to Jan Hus: Passed 13-0-2
• Dance continued:
-Do we change the night? From Friday to Saturday night for our observant Jewish friends and to work together with the YES group at Jan Hus. Reasons yes and no. Outreach has already gone far.
