NYCYPAA Minutes
11/20/05: 4-6pm
• Opened with the Serenity Prayer and reading of the Traditions and Concepts.
• Introductions/Roll Call
-Attendance: Daniel, Jared, Rakhel, Laura, Catya Janusz, Jason, Shana, Olga, Shane, Cory, Erik, Phil, Hodet, Matt and Darren
-Danielle, Michelle, Cory are absent with notice.

-Minutes from 11/4 read and accepted.
• Treasurer
-We currently have $300 in the treasury.
-expecting the $40 from the pumpkin picking day
• Bylaws
-Jason reported that the last bylaws meeting discussed the requirements for the bid package chair, a new committee position. Jason would like another bylawys committee meeting, to continue our work.
• Events
-Catya reports on the Snow Ball Dance. No space determined yet. Lots of calls made but no place working yet. NECYPAA isn't as interested as before. Catya would like to change the date.

• Outreach
- outreach info flyer with mission statement could be presented in a folder with a color version, with b/w copies inside. These to all clubhouses.
- wants tosend an email to all NYCYPAA list with new mission statement

-links to all YPAA events is up on site. Not listed by date, but that would be useful information.
-working on list of local meetings for the site: Phil wants an explanation for the distinction between YP meetings and Hi-Attendance. Phil has written a paragraph he would like to propose.
-Phil is interested in a “I Need Help” page. Classic style for first time searchers for AA. With links to intergroups in Spanish and English, etc.
• Literature
-Danielle and John are working on meeting list.
• SENY Liaison
- Erik couldn't attend the SENY Assembly. Report: NERAASA was discussed. Young People's Videos are being reviewed.
• Intergroup Representative
• Rakhel reports much success. Arms Acres contact was made and sounds good.
• -Intergroup phone answering: the 3 rd Saturday is taken. 4 th Saturday is open.
• Graphics
-Nothing to report.
• Bid Package Chair
-Hodet is reaching out to people to make contacts and learn about the process of putting together a bid.
-We have a desire to put in a token bid for ICYPAA, July 4 th weekend in New Orleans.

• i. Home work for next meeting. Email will send the file to everyone and we will discuss next time.

• i. Motion to postpone SnowBall Dance Vote: Unanimous
• Phones at intergroup
• i. We need a new date. 4 th Saturday. 2 nd Saturday. Friday's possible.
• ii. Training is simple, many of us our trained. Rakhel has the books we need.
• Arms Acres
• i. Outpatient in Manhattan: Columbus Circle area.
• ii. Mondays or Wednesdays is ok with us.
• New Business
• Young People's Videos
• i. Darren gave the rundown of the videos, the conference process, our delegates request, etc.
• ii. Janusz suggests we take it to the groups.
• iii. Motion: December 4 th , 2pm we will watch the videos. Unanimous.
• Attendance Policy:
• i. The bylaws policy for attendance would disqualify much of our committee. We want to encourage regular attendance.

• i. Meeting List Page: We have accepted the spirit and purpose of Phil's suggestions.
• ii. I Need Help Page: We Trust Phil.
• Conferences, what are we doing for bidding?

• Create an email list for Hodet for an outreach email to inform members that NYCYPAA has created a Bid Package Committee to get people involved.
