SENY Rep
Nothing to report.
Intergroup Rep
Nothing new to report. Intergrokup meeting in June.
Web Rep
Phil put the flyer for our event on the site. There was a netscape bug that he fixed, asked for us to report if anything on the site doesn't work.
Bylaws Report
Old Business
Yahoo Groups listserv
1. many people already have yahoo group accounts
2. the system and name is set up
3. people have to join, which not everyone likes.
4. commercial business that incorporates ads
5. anonymity?
6. can be set up as private so that moderators approve joiners
Thirdlegacy
1. not corporate
2. run by Trevor
3. otherwise very similar to yahoo groups
Megan likes to use yahoo groups to outreach. But for committee communications she likes other means. Phil pointed out that we may need to clarify our mailing list needs. Micah suggested we create a message board on our site. Have public and private sections. Keep everything in house. Darren spoke at length but can't remember what he said. We clarified that we want everyone to receive their emails efficiently.
Phil clarified.
1. public communications
2. committee communications
3. online discussions
NYCYPAA.org could be expanded to incorporate thirdlegacy and listserv emails.
Michelle thinks we're spending a lot of time on this one issue.
Megan would like us to meet our needs between NYCYPAA.or and thirdlegacy.org and leave yahoo groups out of it.
Daniel suggests that a web committee meeting to resolve these issues.
Costs, how do we pay for these services?

Suggestions for future events, and how they are organized. John is fishing.
Megan bites. She wants the committee to be involved in the approval of the ideas for the events. Mostly for consideration of financial matters. But also to pool our experience and knowledge. For traditions.
Darren wants us to consider the idea of mixing the meeting visitations with our events. i.e. visit a meeting in outer borough and going to an event afterwards.
Austin wants more time to prep flyers. So a structure of schedule of events would be great.
Pat thinks we should stop putting so much emphasis on events. Wants us to concentrate on bylaws and our inside work to establish a long-term sustainable groups.
Janina would like us to consider a budget and establish a financial basis for out existence.

New Business
Darren would like us to consider putting together an ICYPAA token bid.
We need to start to establish the groundwork for any possible future ICYPAA in New York City. It'll take years to get an ICYPAA bid together. If it ever gets done, we'll need to start. We could elect a bid package chair who would deal with a subcommittee. It should not be our primary purpose or detract from our stated purposes.
Who's excited about putting in a bid.
Janina thinks it's a fine idea. Megan thinks being involved with ICYPAA bids over a period of time has a positive impact on a bid.
Much discussion was had, and no decisions were made.
Darren asked about the format for our meeting event next weekend. Daniel imagines that it'll be fairly small and comfortable. Phil said that we might lose some people if it's outside, but for many it should be fine. Janina is telling people that it'll look like a picnic, and that it's up to each of us to attend the meeting, but that the social aspect will look pretty normal. Michelle isn't sure she wants to hang out with us on a Saturday afternoon, she might listen to her ipod instead. Austin had positive experiences at Venice Beach and in Hawaii at public beach meetings.
Darren wonders if we'll be praying and chanting in a group.
Do we have a rain date? Event will go to the diner if it rains.
Micah wonders why we don't just cancel the meeting? Michelle says that since we've outreached it, we should follow through. Janina says that each of us has to determine for ourselves whether or not we will attend and that we need to gently keep ourselves in check and revise our intentions for our next event if necessary. Megan made the point that the option NOT to have the event as determined by Vanessa was never on the table. John recognizes that something about how the event has taken place is not the best, and that we're all learning.
Austin wants to know if all AA events have to have meetings attached to them. Like if we all to to Great Adventure, do we have to go to a meeting before hand?
Michelle says that she's been told that if it doesn't have an AA meeting as part of the program, it's not an AA event. Daniel quoted from the 3rd tradition long form that an two or three AA members gathered together for sobriety can call themselves an AA group provided they have no other affiliation.
Motion to Close
